Job Summary:
The Director of People at Lumin and our first people-oriented professional, you will set the direction for all human resources related functions at Lumin, encompassing talent acquisition, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, and organizational development. This role will be pivotal in attracting, retaining, and supporting top clinical and operational talent while fostering an organizational culture that supports growth and excellence in mental health care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top clinical and operational talent
- Partner with relevant programs ( i.e., residency programs, MBA programs, affinity groups, industry networks) to build a strong pipeline of clinical and operational candidates
- Direct outreach and targeted recruitment campaigns for identified talent
- Enhance Lumin’s employer brand through targeted marketing and outreach efforts
- As needed, engage recruiters to supplement pipeline development efforts
- Onboarding and Training:
- Design and oversee a comprehensive onboarding program that integrates new hires into Lumin’s culture and operations
- Ensure continuous professional development through ongoing training and education initiatives
- Employee Engagement and Retention:
- Implement regular employee surveys and feedback mechanisms to gauge engagement and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and promote policies that support work-life balance and employee well-being
- Create recognition programs to reward outstanding performance and contributions
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Design flexible and competitive compensation packages, including innovative benefits tailored to clinician and operational staff needs
- Develop and implement novel programs to support a best-in-class program, e.g., debt repayment, family-oriented incentives (childcare), etc.
- Regularly review and adjust compensation structures to remain competitive in the market
- Organizational Development:
- Foster a positive organizational culture that emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and excellence in client care
- Identify and develop future leaders through targeted training and mentorship programs
- Lead change management initiatives to support organizational growth and adaptation
- Strategic Planning:
- Align People strategies with Lumin’s overall organizational goals and objectives
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of People initiatives, making adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
- Report regularly to the CEO and executive team on People-related metrics and progress
- Performance management:
- Develop and implement periodic review programs
- Coach and mentor managers to engage and develop their direct reports
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR or People roles, with some portion of time in a leadership position
- Proven track record in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational development, preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting
- Strong understanding of compensation and benefits strategies, including innovative and flexible benefits packages
- Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with organizational goals
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desired Skills:
- Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute long-term People strategies
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Experience managing a budget
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
